by the people they let go.
Companies get a live public score based on how they treated people during layoffs — severance, notice, communication, outplacement, and basic human decency. All content is personal opinion from people who were there.
The Whisper Network is a community-powered platform where employees who have been laid off can anonymously share and rate their experience. We score companies across five dimensions: how much notice was given, whether the severance package was fair, how leadership communicated the decision, what outplacement support was offered, and how employees were treated as human beings throughout the process.
Companies are ranked in real time based on community submissions. The Wall of Shame tracks companies that handled layoffs poorly — cutting access without notice, offering inadequate severance, or communicating through impersonal emails and Slack messages. The Hall of Fame recognizes companies like Stripe, Shopify and HubSpot that treated laid-off employees with dignity, offering generous severance and genuine support.
